
Jo Schuman Silver's career began at J. Walter Thompson Advertising Agency and ICM (International Creative Management) talent agency.
Jo was Steve Silver's handpicked successor and partner for Beach Blanket Babylon .
Like Steve, Jo has always been involved with charities, giving of her time, energy and financial assistance to health education and the arts both locally and nationally. Together they created the Steve Silver/Beach Blanket Babylon Gallery Terrace at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Steve Silver/Beach Blanket Babylon Music Center at the San Francisco Public Library, as well as supporting the UCSF Cancer Center, Make-A-Wish Foundation, the AIDS Emergency Fund as well as many others. Jo created the highly successful Steve Silver Foundation/Beach Blanket Babylon Scholarship For the Arts benefiting Bay Area High School seniors.
Since Steve Silver's passing in 1995, Jo continues to keep the show current and up-to-date in keeping with Steve's creative vision and legacy.
